Lachenaie is a sector of the city of Terrebonne, Quebec (Canada), located northeast of the city of Montreal. Incorporated as a city in 1972, Lachenaie was merged with Terrebonne and La Plaine in 2001 to form the new city of Terrebonne. Lachenaie is located on the north bank of the Mille-Îles River, at the confluence of the Prairies River, facing the Laval district of Saint-François and the Montreal district of Rivière-des-Prairies.
Its name recalls that of Charles Aubert de La Chesnaye as founder and seigneur of the original colony.
